Structural

Now we get to the real deal. Putting in floors where there were none, building walls and sand blasting all the old exposed stones. Next I learned to point stone walls and started out on my first square metre out of over 600m2. Now it is all done I feel such a sense of satistaction and all the bad memories of the first day when more went on the floor than the wall have drifted away!

Early Days

This gallery of photographs shows you what we bought, what state it was in and the work we started on first. It was the most dirty stage...

I went thought 8 pairs of leather gloves and over 250 pairs of disposable ones! Not that I am clean freak or anything!

Getting there!

Things are taking shape in this gallery. Kitchens and bathrooms are going in... all 8 of them! That's 8 bathrooms not kitchens of course! Ceilings are being painted and the balustrades and staircases are fitted.

I made some lights out of old farm implements and my builder hung them up with much ceremony. All that remains is to buy a 12 step folding ladder to be able to change the bulbs!
